Nicolas Chéronet is an exchange and trading industry pioneer with over 20 years of management and technical experience, and is a widely recognised authority on electronic trading systems.

Prior to Bordeaux Wine Exchange (bwinex), Chéronet served as a Managing Director at innerExchange Solutions ("innerEx") in London. While at innerEx, he worked in building the first exchange-in-the-box solution handling the trading of listed products to complex structures.

Prior to join innerEx, Chéronet spearheaded the design, build and implementation of leading edge technology products for exchanges, investment banks and hedge funds. Chéronet was also responsible for creating, migrating and implementing major exchanges' trading infrastructures around the world, including Paris, London, Frankfurt, Chicago and Hong Kong.

From 1992 to 1999, he was the deputy Head of Electronic Trading of Paris Bourse (today NYSE Euronext), where he oversaw the global strategy of trading technology products suite.

Having read Applied Mathematics from the University of Bordeaux, Chéronet completed a Masters in Finance from the Markets Technologies Institute in Paris.

James is a qualified banker and has been an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers since 1983.

He worked for Lloyds Bank for 23 years enjoying a number of management roles in retail banking and money transmission services. Subsequently, acted as self employed Insurance Broker and Financial Consultant.

In 1999 he was appointed Group General Manager for trading software company, which was quoted on the LSE. He left in 2006 following the takeover of the company and was employed as a Senior Business Analyst at Royal Bank of Scotland until 2010.

James was appointed General Manager and Company Secretary in January 2011.
