Connectivity & Datacentre
Customers who trade both bwinex OTC and Regional Professionnal markets have the option of connecting to the bwinex via multiple alternatives which provide fast, reliable, and cost-efficient access. Options range from a no-cost Internet connection utilising an existing broadband connection to point-to-point circuits, or even industry-proven managed service providers.
This wide variety of choices, allows bwinex participants to truly customise network connectivity options to best fit their trading and business requirements. The following connection options are available to all bwinex participants.
bwxNet
Gives participants the ability to leverage existing Internet connectivity to access the bwxMarkets platform:
- Allows clients to manage their own existing connectivity and equipment;
- Encrypted data messaging using 128-bit SSL;
- Available from any Internet access point in the world;
- Available for ISV vendors;
- No additional cost or access charges.
bwxHub
Gives customers the opportunity to set up point-to-point and managed service provider connections to the bwxMarkets platform. bwinex has regional markets and regional network connection hubs that are located in key areas worldwide. At present, bwinex has hubs located in Bordeaux, London and New York in the United States. The hubs accept managed service provider, ethernet or point-to-point DS3/E3 connections.
- Cost-effective option for primary and/or redundant connections to the bwxMarkets platform;
- Existing facilities customers can simply order a managed service provider connection from bwinex;
- Managed server provider connection speeds from 10 Mbps and up;
- Metropolitan managed service provider and point-to-point DS3/E3s are accepted;
- Encrypted data messaging using 128-bit SSL within backbone VPN tunnel;
- Carrier diversity available to the bwxHub.
Managed Service Provider Connectivity
bwinex gives its participants the opportunity to choose from bwinex preferred providers to connect to the bwxMarkets platform.
- Cost-effective option for primary or redundant connections to the bwxMarkets platform;
- Participants may leverage existing connections to Managed Service Providers;
- These providers connect at various bwinex datacentre and bwxHub locations;
- Carrier diversity available
